Thanks Laura!

Yesterday, a big fat package arrived in the mail for Wyatt from our friend Laura in Pennsylvania. It was full of books and a shirt from her trip to Salem MA. Here is Wyatt opening the package and modeling the shirt this evening!

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas Everyone! Wyatt and I were up at 5:15 this morning and everyone else (Judy, Michael, and Jay) were up by 6:30. Everyone was super excited so they were even showered by 7:00 or so. Wyatt went back to sleep by 8:30 and we are now waiting for him to wake up for Round 2!

Pointy Elf Hat

I learned how to knit a very cute hat. Enjoy! Oh and my camera died, so we had to go get a new one, which I am working on figuring out. Its not difficult, but just working on which settings are best, so bear with me!

Christmas Cookies!

on Sunday, Wyatt and I made Christmas cookies. He was so into it that he pinched his little finger and got his first blood blister. He somehow managed to do that between two measuring cups. Weird. Anyways, it didn't stop him for long- he is just like his father- steals the cookie dough and the frosting before the cookies are cooked!

Oh Christmas Tree 2010

Oh what fun it is to ride in a one mama backpack....it sounded better when I sang it while we were walking to get our tree today.
We started the day with pancakes, then a walk at the dog park, then tried a new Christmas tree farm, only to find they were all way too small. So, feeling guilty for even thinking of straying from our traditional trek to ESF's Heiburg Forest to cut our own tree, we headed down Apulia Road to Tully, NY to get our tree. We started walking into the field when we realized we could not tell the difference between the Balsam and the Douglas firs, so we asked the guy driving the tractor. He told us that we could drive the truck (with the bald tires) through the field and that there was a secret stash of Frasier Firs way back there. So Wyatt and I started trekking back, and Jay went to get the truck. We found awesome trees. So glad we stuck with ESF. $25 for our giant Frasier. After that, we stopped for some lunch and hot cocoa, and now we are home where we are all resting before our next adventure.

First Oreo

The pictures say it all.

SNOW! or SNOW????

This past weekend, we were all a little sick. Some of us had stomach issues and some of us had snot issues. We are recovering. Today, Sunday, we got a ton of snow. Not "buffalo" to, but still a significant amount requiring snow tires and the snowblower. We had a lovely Sunday Brunch with Mark, Meredith, Betsy, Mya, Mitchell, Zoe, and Andrew. Enjoy the photos!

Thanksgiving Weekend

It was a great Thanksgiving Weekend and 35th birthday for mama. Wyatt got to spend a lot of time with his Grandma Judy and Grandpa Whiskers and Jay and I got to hang up our Christmas lights on Sunday. We went to Lights on the Lake on Friday night and then we also went to Skaneateles for the day on Saturday. Enjoy the photos! Oh and Wyatt says Pretty and Bye Bye and Baby.

Happy Thanksgiving!

So today we had a great relaxing day. Judy and Michael, Wyatt, me, Jay, and Shirley our next door neighbor all had a lovely Thanksgiving meal around 2:30. Wyatt almost fell asleep as he refused to nap earlier, and didn't eat much. He thoroughly enjoyed dumping his bowl of mashed potatoes and stuffing out onto his tray and then proceeded to put his bowl on his head. When none of us noticed because we were passing dishes, he screeched really loud and we all turned to look at him.

A morning at the dog park

Saturday morning we all went to the dog park to take Sawyer for a walk. The big news this weekend is that Wyatt is now officially walking everywhere! Not just a few steps, he walks from one room to the next. He's also going to bed with no fuss. I guess he's all grown up. He's even starting to try to eat with his fork and drinks only milk, no formula. I guess as the neighbor says, we will have to get him an apartment soon. Just kidding! Enjoy some shots from the dog park.

The Boys

At night these days, our boys gang up on Dad and attack. Its quite comical. Oh, and Wyatt is walking across rooms these days. There is still some crawling, but most of the time, he's walking along things. I'll try to get a video up this weekend.

Shirley's

Every Tuesday night when Jay goes "bowling", Wyatt and I go next door to visit Shirley. He loves going there (she has animal crackers and some of his favorite toys are stashed there....) and Phil pops in to make funny faces at him and play peekaboo. Anyways, we go for about an hour and try to get there around 5:15 or so, but last night we were a little late, so she was sad and thought we weren't coming. Here are photos!

What to do with your food when you are done eating....

Here is what Wyatt commonly does when he is done eating. Its amazing our dog isn't 200 pounds....yet. And here is another photo of Wyatt eating, and pretty much being full. Currently, Wyatt is taking 5 or 6 steps unaided and can stand for about 6-10 seconds before sitting down. This morning, while waiting for pancakes, he stood on his bench and talked//yelled/banged on the window at 2 deer and said "Mooooo". Apparently anything that isn't a bear, leopard, lion, or tiger, moos. Oh and Zebras moo too.
