Thanks Laura!

Yesterday, a big fat package arrived in the mail for Wyatt from our friend Laura in Pennsylvania. It was full of books and a shirt from her trip to Salem MA. Here is Wyatt opening the package and modeling the shirt this evening!

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas Everyone! Wyatt and I were up at 5:15 this morning and everyone else (Judy, Michael, and Jay) were up by 6:30. Everyone was super excited so they were even showered by 7:00 or so. Wyatt went back to sleep by 8:30 and we are now waiting for him to wake up for Round 2!

Gigi and Poppa Pete got Wyatt a very cool tunnel and tent that he just loves! He scrambles through at the speed of light and squeals with delight!

Pointy Elf Hat

I learned how to knit a very cute hat. Enjoy! Oh and my camera died, so we had to go get a new one, which I am working on figuring out. Its not difficult, but just working on which settings are best, so bear with me!

Christmas Cookies!

on Sunday, Wyatt and I made Christmas cookies. He was so into it that he pinched his little finger and got his first blood blister. He somehow managed to do that between two measuring cups. Weird. Anyways, it didn't stop him for long- he is just like his father- steals the cookie dough and the frosting before the cookies are cooked!

Oh Christmas Tree 2010

Oh what fun it is to ride in a one mama backpack....it sounded better when I sang it while we were walking to get our tree today.
We started the day with pancakes, then a walk at the dog park, then tried a new Christmas tree farm, only to find they were all way too small. So, feeling guilty for even thinking of straying from our traditional trek to ESF's Heiburg Forest to cut our own tree, we headed down Apulia Road to Tully, NY to get our tree. We started walking into the field when we realized we could not tell the difference between the Balsam and the Douglas firs, so we asked the guy driving the tractor. He told us that we could drive the truck (with the bald tires) through the field and that there was a secret stash of Frasier Firs way back there. So Wyatt and I started trekking back, and Jay went to get the truck. We found awesome trees. So glad we stuck with ESF. $25 for our giant Frasier. After that, we stopped for some lunch and hot cocoa, and now we are home where we are all resting before our next adventure.

First Oreo

The pictures say it all.

SNOW! or SNOW????

This past weekend, we were all a little sick. Some of us had stomach issues and some of us had snot issues. We are recovering. Today, Sunday, we got a ton of snow. Not "buffalo" to, but still a significant amount requiring snow tires and the snowblower. We had a lovely Sunday Brunch with Mark, Meredith, Betsy, Mya, Mitchell, Zoe, and Andrew. Enjoy the photos!
