Puppets, Zoos, and Street Fairs

This was actually a busy and relaxing weekend, all at the same time.
Friday night, Joanna and Jeremy came over for dinner. Saturday, Wyatt and I popped in at the Open Hand Puppet Theater for a puppet show reminiscent of Bread and Puppet. We lasted about 45 minutes, but he did get a cool wooden snake that he is in the process of coloring/painting. Watch out Grandma Tractor! Saturday night, we went over to our friends, the Harris's for a block party where they blocked off the 700 block of Allen Street. Wyatt drew a giant caterpillar in the street, so that was cool.
Sunday morning, Wyatt and I met Chris, Eddie, and Dante at the zoo. Dante is Eddie's son and is 18 months old. He just wanted to hug Wyatt and for some reason Wyatt wanted nothing to do with him. Poor Dante. Then, Sunday afternoon, Sawyer, Jay, Wyatt and me walked over to Westcott Street for the Westcott Street Fair. Pizza and live music. It was fun for us, rather boring for Wyatt, and highly stimulating for Sawyer who goes with us every year. He gets lots of attention and is totally mellow and calm. Enjoy the zoo photos!

Apples and another day at the fair

I have been negligent (and exhausted) in updating the blog. Last weekend, Labor Day weekend, Grandma Judy and Grandpa Michael came out. It was Grandma Judy's birthday on Saturday. Sunday, Grandma and I took Wyatt to the Fair for one more day of fun. I worked at the honey booth and they went to see the historic train, the petting zoo, and the circus. They had fun and I sat around selling and tasting different honeys. Also tons of fun. And Muffin definitely enjoyed the honey. My internal organs got quite massaged.

Then, today, Jay, Wyatt and I went to pick some apples. They both got bored after about 15 minutes. I hope Muffin enjoys apple picking, cause I DO!!!!
