On Skaneateles lake with Mr. and Mrs. Fishy

Today we were invited out to a boat ride on Skaneateles Lake with our neighbors Bob and Deb, known to Wyatt as Mr. and Mrs. Fishy because they have fish in their backyard pond. Elena loved it! she is so not like her brother....his first boat ride was pure misery. Here are a few photos from the day. Oh and Elena can now walk behind her walker. Apples!

Wyatt, Elena and I went apple picking today with Mrs. Fishy across the street. (she is so named because well, they have little fish in their backyard pond so Wyatt always called them the Fishies, so hence she is Mrs. Fishy still....) It was a really nice morning and Wyatt even got to see Elsa and Anna from Frozen. I didn't get any photos of that...we didn't want to wait in line for an hour just for him to get all shy. He was perfectly content to climb to the top of the slide to see them from there.

So today we went for a little hike at Green Lakes. It was a lovely day for whining 4 year old Kindergartner....is that the right spelling of that? I mean I could google it, but that would require way more time....

A Bit Backlogged...

So we have been pretty busy the past few weeks and as a result, the blog has suffered. I apologize. let me see if I can catch everyone up...
Week of August 18-22- Wyatt went to a summer day camp for a week. It was Pirate themed. He got pink eye from the pool and as a result had to miss the ice cream social. Then, when dad took him to Mcdonald's to make up for it, they were out of boy toys for the happy meal. Crappy day. But- Saturday we went to the Great NY State Fair with Larry, Jody, Ella, Ethan, and Connor. Phew....that was a whirlwind and quite fast paced. But the cousins had fun!
the following week, Wyatt, Jay, and Jeremy went to the Adirondacks to go hiking and camping for 4 days. Even though Wyatt still wasn't feeling great, he had an awesome time. He got to hang out with Jamison and Flynn too- they are Brian and Tracey O'malley's boys and they had a campsite at Rollins Pond too. That is actually why my boys camped there.
They hiked a high peak- Cascade, went on a canoe trip, AND Jay and Wyatt went up in a seaplane for a ride!
Labor day weekend brought Grandma Judy to our house for her birthday and Jay and I were able to get a window in. Oh, and we went to a co-worker's house for a party - the same Joe who let Katie and Jessie moor their sailboat off their dock- well and Joe went to school with SpongeBob SquarePants brother, who has a band, who sometimes sings in his brothers band. So what I am saying is- we met the voice of SpongeBob!!!!
Then, Tuesday was Wyatt's first day of Kindergarten!!!
So this weekend ended his first week and he did awesome! He got green notes (means he paid attention in class) and he is slowly figuring out the cafeteria.  Tomorrow, hopefully we go apple picking.
