Pirates and Snakes, but no Turtles.

We were very excited to have the industrious and brave Katie and Jessie (my cousin) (and Reggie the Wonder Dog) of www.katieandjessieonaboat.com stay at our house Friday night. A big ThankS to Joe and Karen and Jenna Sallin of Oneida Lake for letting Louise (the sailboat) hang out in front of their dock for the evening while we took the girls out for some dinner and brought them back to the house. The first Ernst family member to have been here! Yay! And our putz of a dog was NOT A PUTZ! So then, Saturday I took the girls to Wegman's and then brought them back to their sailboat. Wyatt tried to escape with them, but he eventually jumped overboard and pulled himself back to shore, realizing he would of course miss his Mommy. :) Oh the we went to Mike and Carol's for a BBQ, where Elena was the center of attention and Wyatt posed himself for the best photo yet. Sunday, we went up to Mark and Meredith's to check out their camp and stumbled upon a fat black snake, but couldn't find any turtles. And I just realized I haven't downloaded those photos yet...

Our busy weekend

While Jay was busy busy busy finishing the fort, Wyatt, Elena and I went strawberry picking, fishing, and beekeeping. Then today we visited Shi-Shi, made strawberry rhubarb pies with Joanna, made a Jolly Roger flag for the fort, and crashed the Scott Avenue block party to ride bikes in the street. All in all it was a great but busy weekend.

Vermont Visitors

We had some grandparents and a cousin from VT this weekend! Wyatt and Cheyanne had a great time! Cheyanne met Wyatt's friends Mary, Betsy, and Evelyn. Here are a few photos! We were so busy I didn't get too many.

NT NY

this past weekend we went to Grandma Judy's house to help her stain her house. It usually takes her a few days, but we knocked it out in 3 hours. Not to mention we also painted the shed....
While we were staining, the kids were with Grandma Sheila and Papa and Jack and Jaysen in the pool.
We were able to join them later.

New Fort

So if you haven't heard yet, Jay is building the kids a fort in the backyard. Here are some photos!

Memorial Day Weekend

We just kicked around the house this weekend, hung out with Jeremy, Dan, Karen, Jonah and Colden, went to Evie's 2nd birthday across the street, and Jay and Wyatt made a turtle foot stool and started a new project- a backyard fort!
